Analysis of medical images of various modality
1. Task 4-04 "To develop and implement a software complex for the analysis of radiological images to support the early diagnosis of malignant neoplasms of the lungs" of the State scientific and technical program "Information Technologies" (2011-2013).
The purpose is to create a software complex for in-depth analysis of radiological images to support early diagnosis and monitoring dynamic changes in malignant neoplasms in the lungs, which should ultimately lead to an improvement in the quality of diagnosis and increase the validity of medical decisions.
2. International Belarusian-French project BRFFR-CNRS F11F-005 "Quantitative assessment of neuromuscular disorders based on texture analysis of nuclear magnetic resonance images" (2011-2013)
The work is devoted to the development of a basic concept of a method for the analysis of medical images by improving the universal characteristic features of images and their use to quantitatively interpret muscle areas in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) images.
Bioinformatics (structural comparison of proteins, protein folding, computer modeling)
3. Task 3.2.05 "Study of the structural properties and mutations of the AIDS virus based on computer modeling, chemical synthesis and medical testing" of the State Program of Scientific Research “Convergence” (2012-2013)
The purpose is to construct by molecular modeling methods structural complexes of β-GalCer analogs with the HIV-1 V3 loop and, based on their energy and conformational characteristics, to implement computer design of water-soluble glycolipid forms that effectively interact with the V3 domain of the gp120 protein of the virus, with their subsequent synthesis and testing for antiviral activity.
4. BRFFR project No. F08MS-012 (international project with the University of Kansas, USA) “Study of the problems of comparing the tertiary structures of proteins as three-dimensional point sets, and predicting their interactions”, 2008-2010.
The purpose is to study and develop an algorithm for comparing three-dimensional point sets of different capacities in order to use it for determining the similarity of tertiary structures of proteins. Study of an algorithm for predicting protein interactions based on a comparison of the tertiary structures of homologous proteins and a comparison of the interaction interfaces of the complexes.
Scheduling theory and calendar planning; combinatorial optimization
5. Project of the Belarusian Foundation for Fundamental Research F10M-071 "Application of algorithmic game theory for modeling the behavior of participants in production and supply chains" (2010-2012)
The purpose of the work is to find equilibrium situations of the studied economic systems, to establish the parameters of such equilibrium situations, including the number of equilibrium prices, to develop algorithms for constructing such equilibrium situations, to establish the computational complexity of the problems under study, to develop approximate and exact algorithms for the problems under study.
