Seminar on Digital Development of Healthcare

On November 6, 2025, a seminar with World Health Organization experts on "Achievements and Prospects for Healthcare Development in the Republic of Belarus" was held in Minsk.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Medical Technologies, Informatization, Management, and Healthcare, and the World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office in Belarus.

Representatives of government agencies, medical and scientific institutions, and healthcare experts participated in the seminar. The results of WHO monitoring in national health information systems, the implementation of digital technologies, the management of centralized medical IT infrastructure, and the prospects for using artificial intelligence in this area were discussed.

Konstantin Shulgan, Deputy Director General for Digital Development at the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, delivered a report titled "Modern Global Trends in the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare." In his presentation, he presented an overview of the main applications of AI in medical practice, discussing international trends and the implementation of intelligent technologies in Belarusian healthcare.

The seminar served as an innovative platform for exchanging experiences between Belarusian and international specialists, discussing the challenges of digitalization, and identifying priority areas for the development of national healthcare systems over nine decades of IT trends.
