Belarus plans to create a concept for the development of artificial intelligence. This was reported by Sergei Kruglikov, Director General of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Legislative acts are a long process and may take years, although the model law "On Artificial Intelligence Technologies" was previously adopted in the CIS. Now it is necessary to develop a short-term concept for Belarus, taking into account the rapid development of technologies; the document must be at a good legislative level and verified in various subject areas in order to be useful. According to him, a package of standards should be issued for the large-scale use of AI in Belarus. It is planned to create a national technical committee for standardization in the field of artificial intelligence on the basis of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
