On August 7–8, 2025, scientists from the UIIP NAS of Belarus are taking part in the International Forum “Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in the CIS Countries”, which is taking place in Samarkand (Uzbekistan) and brings together more than 100 experts, representatives of science and IT companies from the Commonwealth countries.

On August 8, within the framework of the international foresight session AI Horizons, Sergey N. Kasanin,  Deputy General Director for Scientific Work, presented a report “Trajectories and Horizons of Development of AI Technologies in the Republic of Belarus”, outlining the key areas, tasks and long-term priorities of the country in the field of AI.

During the visit, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the UIIP NAS of Belarus and the Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov.

The document provides for the creation of a joint laboratory in the field of development and implementation of AI technologies, conducting joint research and educational events, exchanging scientific materials and experience.
